From Wikipedia: RSS is a simple XML-based system that allows users to subscribe to their favorite websites. Using RSS, webmasters can put their content into a standardized format, which can be viewed and organized through RSS-aware software or automatically conveyed as new content on another website. The legacy feeds are simply put, the old RSS method the site once used. When the site first started, the RSS feeds were basic. They were so basic in fact, they only consisted of two elements: the torrent file name (minus the .torrent part) and the link to download the torrent. Since then, a new mechanism has been put in place to create more "human readable" RSS feeds. While most clients do not mind the new RSS feeds, there are some odd clients that are incompatible with them, hence the reason they are still offered.

Mininova deletes older torrents to save disk space. While the actual torrent files themselves are not that big, Mininova has nearly 200,000 torrent files. Assuming each are 100KB, that's about 20GB of torrent files. The problem with keeping them all is that most of the seeds (and peers/leechers) have vanished, so the torrent is more or less useless. Mininova does an "OK" job at deleting older torrents, however sometimes they mess up. For that reason, and for archival purposes I am planning on linking to BT-Chat instead.
Mininova checks the referring URL. Assuming that the torrent actually exists on Mininova, if Mininova senses that the referring URL is not coming from Mininova, instead of allowing the user to download the torrent file, it redirects to the torrent info page. Many websites do this. Most clients have the ability to "Send URL as referrer," or similar terminology. This option needs to be disabled.
uTorrent is 100% compatible with all of the RSS feeds on this website. However, it contains its own built-in mechanism for parsing the title of the torrent (one of those "human readable" features). Since this is the case, you may see items show up as:
Prison Break []LOL]
Friday Night Lights LOL]
A simple solution to this problem is to use the legacy feeds in uTorrent (mentioned above).
tvRSS obtains its information directly from EZTV and VTV (currently). As a result, it has no control over what specific shows get released and which ones do not. If you would like to see a show get added, please direct any and all inquiries to the EZTV website forums.
